Have Fun Doing It.
We’re an inclusive Cub Scout pack for K-5 kids and families of all backgrounds. Our program extends to older youth groups like Boy Scouts and Explorers, focusing on personal growth over winning. We emphasize teamwork and cooperation, bringing together children from various races, classes, and cultures in a spirit of diversity.

What does Cub Scouting offer my child?
Cub Scouting offers fun and challenging activities that promote character development and physical fitness. Through positive peer group interaction and parental guidance, scouts also learn honesty, bravery, and respect.
How does participation in Cub Scouting affect participation in other activities?
The Cub Scout program is designed to complement many other extracurricular activities. Scouts who participate in organized sports like soccer, baseball, basketball, swimming, gymnastics, etc, or academic-based extracurricular activities like music, art, science etc., can be recognized for these activities though Cub Scout belt loops and pins which are worn on their uniform.

Neighboring towns such as Arlington, Medford, Boston and Somerville have local Packs to check out.
You can find more on the Scouting Website.
Do Cub Scouts go camping?
Yes, but they ease into it. They may go camping with a parent, or even with the entire family. More on Cub Scout camping can be found at https://www.scouting.org/outdoor-programs/camping/

Youth members participate in one fund-raising activity (e.g. trees and wreaths), which helps to cover Den supplies, equipment, and other activities for the entire cub scout pack.
Families are also responsible for purchasing the scout uniform for their scout.
Are there any faith requirements to join Cub Scouts?
While the faith requirements for Cub Scouts are broad and do not require adherence to any specific religion, they do require a Cub Scout to think about faith and discuss it in the family unit. Pack 56 welcomes Cub Scouts from all backgrounds and faiths.
The Pack holds its meeting at St James’s Episcopal Church located at 1991 Massachusetts Ave. Cambridge.
